Recurrent dynamical symmetry breakings and restorations by Wilson lines at finite densities on a torus

چکیده
In this paper we derive the general expression of a one-loop effective potential of the nonintegrable phases of Wilson lines for an SU(N) gauge theory with a massless adjoint fermion defined on the spactime manifold R1,d−3 × T 2 at finite temperature and fermion density. The Phase structure of the vacuum is presented for the case with d = 4 and N = 2 at zero temperature. It is found that gauge symmetry is broken and restored alternately as the fermion density increases, a feature not found in the Higgs mechanism. It is the manifestation of the quantum effects of the nonintegrable phases. PACS number(s): 11.10.Wx, 11.10.Kk, 11.15.Ex

Linear Sigma Model at Finite Baryonic Density and Symmetry Breakings
The linear sigma model at finite baryonic density with a massive vector field is investigated considering that all the bosonic fields develop non zero expected classical values, eventually associated with condensates and corresponding to dynamical symmetry breakings which might occur in the QCD phase diagram. A modified equation for the classical vector field is proposed with its respective sol...
متن کاملWilson Lines in Warped Space: Dynamical Symmetry Breaking and Restoration
The dynamics of Wilson lines integrated along a warped extra dimension has been unknown. We study a five dimensional SU(N) pure gauge theory with Randall-Sundrum warped compactification on S/Z2. We clarify the notion of large gauge transformations on the covering space for this setup. We obtain Kaluza-Klein expansions of gauge and ghost fields for the most general twists and background gauge fi...
متن کاملOn the Construction of Renormalized Gauge Theories Using Renormalization Group Techniques
The aim of these lectures is to describe a construction, as selfcontained as possible, of renormalized gauge theories. Following a suggestion of Polchinski, we base our analysis on the Wilson renormalization group method. After a discussion of the infinite cut-off limit, we study the short distance properties of the Green functions verifying the validity of Wilson short distance expansion. We a...

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Recurrent caries is defined as caries in the marginal edges of filled teeth and is the most common reason for restoration replacement. The aim of this study was to evaluation of recurrent caries in amalgam, resin-based restorations and crowns in bitewing radiographies in patients who attended Kerman dental radiology centers, Iran.METHODS: This cross-sectional study conducted...
متن کاملDynamics of symmetric dynamical systems with delayed switching
We study dynamical systems that switch between two different vector fields depending on a discrete variable and with a delay. When the delay reaches a problemdependent critical value so-called event collisions occur. This paper classifies and analyzes event collisions, a special type of discontinuity induced bifurcations, for periodic orbits. Our focus is on event collisions of symmetric period...
